But I am wondering whether it is possible to use it “standalone” outside WordPress on in a simple website page or integrated in an other cms ?

Now we work only with WordPress. But for standalone work you can use Papervision3D PhotoGallery 1.0, this gallery uses XML and you can integrate it into any pages.

Currently working it into my new site, Question… Cant seem to find too many skins for it and i was tying to find a skin that would allow the thumbnail bar to be vertical on one of the sides instead of Horizontal on the bottom? Is this possible?

Great plugin. I need to translate the text “ALL CATEEGORIES” in lower left corner. My site is in Swedish and this is the only thing I can´t translate. Is this text in the fla file? Please help.

I was wondering if there was either a way to remove the “All Categories” button in the free version or if there was a way to specify an order of how the galleries appear in the categories specifically in the code that embeds the gallery. For example, I have a splash page with links to each “type” of gallery and I would like each page to have all categories, but depending on what page they click on, to show that gallery as default? I’m not having any luck installing new gallery skins. Everything seems to proceed without error but I never get the option to activate the skin. When I do a refresh on installed skins, then I get multiple move errors but the skin (chocolate.zip) isn’t installed. Here are an example of the errors I get after doing the refresh:
Failed to move file /chroot/home/website/html/wp-content/plugins/flash-album-gallery/skins/default_old to /chroot/home/website/html/wp-content/plugins/flagallery-skins/default_old
Any ideas? I would really like to be able to use other skins because I LOVE THIS PLUGIN!

The problem is that files and folders not writable in `/wp-content/plugins/flash-album-gallery/skins/` folder and in `/wp-content/plugins/flagallery-skins/` folder, so PHP script can’t move files from one directory to another. You should do it manually. Then unzip skin (chocolate.zip) and upload it via FTP to ‘wp-content/plugins/flagallery-skins/’ folder with chmod 755.
I should have mentioned that I chmod’d those folders and sub-folders to 777 but while that did resolve an early error I experienced, the error I quoted in my last post began to occur when I refreshed. I planned to upload the unzipped file but then I noticed that the folder was missing the “Settings” folder and the files inside of it.

This is due to incorrect configuration of your server. All files and folders should be owned by your user (ftp) account on your web server, and should be writable by that account. On shared hosts, files mostly never be owned by the webserver process itself (sometimes this is www, or apache, or nobody user). You should change apache user group.

Thanks. I did CHOWN the files to the user account and this resolved all of my error messages but I still could only get the skins installed when I did it manually, as you instructed in your earlier post. Given that I don’t plan to change the skin very often, this is not at all an inconvenience.
On that note, is it possible to use specific skins for specific albums or is it something you are considering?
At any rate, your quick responses have been most helpful and I appreciate your assistance in resolving my issues. I am very glad you created this plugin. It works so much better than the one we were originally using!
