Seeing the latest Weezer band photo is almost as surprising as hearing their new single. So, now that you’ve seen the goofy image above, take a listen to “Memories” below. This distortion-heavy track is off their upcoming album Hurley (from Lost?), which drops on September 14th (pre-order here). This date is notable since it’s less than a year from their previous effort, Raditude.

They didn’t need the plug, but The Roots‘ nightly gig with Jimmy Fallon definitely hasn’t hurt their fan base. While he goes his own way, his unwavering series of web-only singles continues with “Spangled,” which is heavier on harpsichord than it is on guitar.
